How to Write Social Media Content for SEO

by Social Profit Formula Bonus

Writing social media content to maximize search engine rankings

The key to generating a lot of traffic through social media is optimizing content for search engines. You need to structure your articles in a way that they will rank very high on the first few pages of the different search engines.

Posting articles on content sharing sites can already get you good rankings because these places have internal link structures that are built to help sites do well in the search engines. But you can go from good to great by working on the article itself so that it will do well in the search engines.

How to structure your social media page for SEO

Social media content that is optimized for search engines should have the following elements:

•    Natural language
•    Keywords early and often
•    Keywords in link structure
•    Keywords in page structure

How to use keywords in your social media content

Do not target more than two keywords in each article and keep your keyword density between 3 to 5 percent of the total words on the page.

Mention your keyword early in the article several times so that the search engines and your readers know what your article is all about. Use your keyword in the title tag, in the headline, in the first paragraph, and even in the first sentence of your article.

Use natural language when writing your articles. Do not throw in your keyword a whole bunch of times where it doesn’t fit. Keep in mind that any attempt at manipulating content will be penalized by search engines.

One common mistake is using keywords in every navigation link. If you are doing a travel site, do not fill your side navigation with links that say travel tips, travel destinations, travel rentals, travel vacations, travel flights, travel hotels etc. That is not the way normal human beings talk and work.

Use keywords in your link structure. When building a list of resources, use your keywords in the anchor text of articles that are linked to one another.

Use keywords in your page structure. Search engines tend to pay a little bit more attention to text that is in bold and italics so add your keywords to your subheads and H1, H2 and H3 tags.

The key to successful search engine optimization of social media content is to just be natural. Adding keywords to every single sentence or every single link will not only hurt your search engine rankings but the readability of your article as well.

The Social Profit Formula will teach you how to write your social media content naturally and get them to do well in search engines.
